The Power of Imagination
You can change reality with imagination...
Have you noticed how children have an incredible imagination?
There is a lot we have forgotten about imagination having grown older and “wiser”.
There is a lot we can learn from children, but I want to share something that has helped me tremendously and can be an absolute game changer for anyone if you learn how to control and harness the power of imagination.
First I feel like I need to give you some context of what I am talking about.
Have you ever watched a scary movie and you just have that feeling that there is evil lurking behind every corner? Or just that feeling of fear that the movie instills in you?
Even though you know it’s not real.
You know it’s fake… Right?
But your unconcious mind does not.
Your unconcious mind does not know the difference between reality and imagination.
As you watch that scary movie, even though you conciously know “this is not real” your unconcious mind has no filter on reality. The thing about movies is they put us in a state of mind to be able to bypass our concious mind and enter out unconcious. It just intakes what we see.
To the unconcious mind everything is reality.
Think about the power of this. What you could do with this.
I’ll help you out.
Lets say someone at the store makes a rude comment, you take it personaly. This is your imagination thinking they meant it personaly in the first place.
Instead, what if your imagination decided that they were just having a bad day, maybe their mom died and they got off the phone right before you walked up.
We have 2 different ideas here, both in the imagination.
Lets look at this but now we have context, that rude person… they took one look at you and thought you looked like an arrogant prick and decided you needed some humbling so they tried to hurt you personally.
Their you are and in your head you think to yourself, “man this guy probably just having a bad day, bye.”
Now you go about your day. What you experience, the way that you feel inside, your emotions, all completely unaffected by this guy. Because you controlled your thought and imagination.
This is just one usecase.
HERE IS WHERE IT GETS CRAZY.
It has been proven that if we use our imagination to picture ourselves doing an action in the third person, it is AS IF we practiced physically.
Visualization is using your imagination to see yourself doing something, whether it is practicing something you do regularly or seeing yourself do something you have never experienced before.
I have personally used this to get myself to perform better in business meeting, to fix my posture, to perfomr better in martial arts training, to read and comprehend faster, and many more things. Too many to share on here.
I do not share these to impress but only to express, that the power of imagination can be used to curate and create reality into something that benefits you every time.
Use your imagination to change how you think about yourself, to become someone different, to become someone better.
Use it to destroy your limiting beliefs, use it to live like a monk or a samurai.
Use it to become a minimalist or a warrior.
Your imagination will help you become someone you wish that you were in reality because wehn you believe it, it will bleed into your actions. Your actions become who you are and will continue to feed your mind into believing even further and it only gets stronger and stronger.
Picture the life that you want.
Picture the person you want to be.
Imagine it.
Become it.
WARNING! ONLY FOR SERIOUS INDIVIDUALS.
If you are serious about overcoming all of your limiting beliefs.
